Absorbent in the refrigerator

Food and moisture droplets often leave a specific smell in the refrigerator. Even worse, if something went wrong on the shelves. And the spirit of fish is almost indestructible. One option is to thoroughly wash the refrigerator, but this takes a long time, it requires unloading the unit and spending a lot of energy.

Dried Coffee Ground

A quicker solution that is applicable even on holidays, when all shelves are lined with billets and salads: place in the far corner on each tier a glass filled with coffee grounds powder. The aroma of coffee in the refrigerator does not appear, but the odor eliminates extraneous odors no worse than soda (in some ways even better).

Pesticide

And among other things, the product will add nitrogen to the soil (which will appeal to flowering plants).

coffee grounds for plants

How to use: just throw dry or washed coffee grounds into the compost pit. The total share of the additive is not more than 18%. When the fertilizer is matured, they process the beds in the usual way.

Fresh thickening increases the acidity of the soil, so it will work as a neutralizer in alkaline earth. The only difficulty is to collect the required amount of raw materials. Perhaps coffee shops near your place of work or home will agree to give you this waste for free.

A warning
Coffee grounds often contain more caffeine than the drink itself. This substance blocks the growth of plants - so the coffee tree gets rid of competitors. Therefore, the thick must be evaporated and dried to a powder so that the caffeine evaporates as much as possible.

Herbicide

As follows from the warning above, fresh, barely cooled coffee grounds are a good killer for plants. And this can be used for good, covering the row spacing and the perimeter of the beds with caffeine mulch. This will protect the plantings from weeds or at least slow down the growth of harmful plants. However, such a blocker is able to increase the acidity of the soil, so that around the cultivated plants should remain bare space at least the width of the crown.
