And, surprisingly, most of the whitening products are at hand, worth a penny, and the result is always positive.

Modern people are accustomed to the fact that they have a lot of industrial powders and bleaching agents that (if you believe the ads) are able to instantly return the original whiteness to things at home. There is only one drawback with all these bleaches - the price is not always affordable. And if you consider how many of each of us has white things in the wardrobe, putting them in order can cost a considerable amount. Therefore, in order to avoid all these attendant troubles, we conduct an audit of the house. Surely you have something that will help you lighten a blouse or t-shirt.

    1. The easiest folk way is boiling. Everything is simple here - put white things in an enameled container, fill with water and put on fire. The duration of the process should be no more than half an hour. For greater effect, you can add a little ammonia or "White" to the water. Yes, effective. Yes, simple. But the smell is just awful. Yes, and blouses and shirts quickly become unusable. So we leave boiling for an emergency - if your favorite blouse has turned gray and you need it urgently, and at home there is nothing suitable for gentle whitening.
    2. The second method is more gentle. You will need a basin, water at a temperature of 40 degrees and hydrogen peroxide - 4 large spoons for every two liters of water. Mix it all up and put here a shirt, t-shirt or other thing that you need to bleach. Leave on for 20 minutes and then wash in the usual way.
    3. For the next option, you will need more ingredients, but the effect of the application is much higher. So, prepare a toothpaste (the simplest - without dyes, flavors and similar additives), salt, baking powder, vinegar. In a bowl or saucepan in which you will bleach things, pour a quarter glass of salt, half a baking powder, squeeze out the paste (the whole tube) and pour two tablespoons of table vinegar. If there are old yellow spots on things, pour a little into the container soda ash. Then you need to pour water into this mixture and mix everything well. Put the white things here and forget about them for a couple of hours. After the specified time, wring out the clothes and leave to dry. As soon as things dry, you can send them to be washed in the washing machine as usual.
    4. Surprisingly, potassium permanganate can help bring back the whiteness of clothes at home.. Just make a weak solution, pour a little washing powder and hold a blouse or t-shirt in this mixture for 10 minutes. Then you can send it to the washing machine.
    5. If your clothing is made from pure cotton or linen, you can bleach it with ammonia. Add a spoonful of this product to a bowl of water and soak things in the mixture for about ten minutes. Then rinse and send to dry.

Salt

  1. Synthetic things can be bleached in saline. Take two tablespoons of salt per liter of warm water, stir well and soak blouses for 20 minutes. After that, rinse well.
  2. You can also try a mixture of salt and peroxide, if the situation with the color of clothes has not gone too far. Dilute in a bowl of water four tablespoons of salt, the same amount of hydrogen peroxide, a spoonful of ammonia and a little washing powder. Dissolve everything well and put the washed white things here. After 15 minutes, you can get, rinse and dry.
  3. Ordinary laundry soap is also suitable.if such a rarity is still in your home. Just rub them with a blouse or stains and leave for half an hour. Then rinse well and dry.
  4. Helps whiten things and boric acid. For every two liters of hot water, take two tablespoons of acid, stir. In this solution, leave a shirt or t-shirt for at least two hours, then rinse well.
  5. One of the easiest ways to whiten clothes is soda.. Just when washing, add a couple of spoons of this substance to the powder and get perfectly white things at the exit. If the situation is very distressing, then previously you can soak clothes in a soda solution.

These simple methods will help you to restore the former whiteness to your blouses and shirts. And, which is especially pleasing, all this does not need a lot of money. All components are either already at home, or you can buy, spending a minimum of money on it. And the financial issue is an important factor, especially when there are children in the house. White tights, t-shirts, shirts and blouses of students instantly lose their attractive appearance, and you will have to buy large amounts of industrial equipment. Therefore, it is worth recalling the folk methods of whitening, which will help you maintain the family budget. Just be sure to observe the dosage and do not keep things in solution for a long time, otherwise you can permanently ruin the fabric.

How to prevent color change?

Of course, it is always better not to let things turn gray or yellow than to think then. Unfortunately, not everything depends on our careful attitude to it. Bad water, environment, deodorants and other adverse factors can affect clothes. But it is in your power to reduce the likelihood of a color change, and, as a result, you no longer have to spend time and energy on whitening.

  • Put a good filter on the water pipe that will protect your things from impurities.
  • Use a special powder.
  • Wash white clothing separately from other items.
  • If in front of white things you washed colored or black, you should first start an empty machine with bleach.
  • Do not store blouses and T-shirts for a long time in dark rooms without access to fresh air.
  • Soak your clothes in cold water before washing, sometimes it helps to keep the color.
  • Be sure to follow the care instructions on the label.

If you are not lazy to follow these rules and treat white things carefully, then they will serve you for a long time, while maintaining their attractiveness and integrity. And you no longer have to puzzle over how to return them to their previous appearance. Moreover, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on updating the wardrobe.
